A Silly Sonnet

In every instance, Jennifer la Belle
Advised Professor Johnson William Tell
To buy initial offerings of stocks
That featured children’s coloured building blocks.

At sixty, Tell’s accumulated funds
Amounted to a little more than tons
Of paper worth a dollar twenty-two,
Enough for carrots for a kangaroo.

To give her credit, Jennifer, herself
Bought Google, IBM and hired an elf
To save these valued stocks on her own shelf
Ensuring her old age would have much pelf.

Professor Tell had married Jennifer
For love, security, incense and myrrh.
